Kenzie the Toddler

Today is Mackenzie's first official day in the Toddler room. She's been in Wobblers for about a year and has outgrown it. Maybe not size-wise but intellectually. She continues to increase her vocabulary by leaps and bounds and has been spending part of her days over in tods. Kenzie has been talking about her adventures over there quite a bit and has often asked the teachers to go to the toddler room also. So it was exciting to drop her off this morning. And she seemed happy to be there after building up the move all weekend. A little sad of course to leave the other room for Laura and I. The teachers there are great. Just as it was hard to leave the infant room with Miss Terry; one of our favorites. In the wobbler room all the girls there were great and we really appreciated that Miss Katy made Kenzie a special birthday card and then a going away card. They'll still see each other a bit as Katy works in the toddler room too. But it felt really nice to see how much Kenzie lights up others' days as she does ours.
